The Show

Over the weekend I went to the Royal Hobart Show. It was very good, though due to a cut down on entrance gates we had to wait in what would have been a 45 min que. After 15 mins a volenteer said that there was a seperate line for cradit cards that was faster. The que's were higgalty piccalty and we ended up in a " Cash Only" line. In the end it only took 20 mins in the line as the "cash only" line was faster.

We had a marvolouse time. I didn't go on any rides as I'd recently went to "Dream World" and "White Water World" on a family holiday. My toddler brother Tom really enjoyed patting (tapping) the lambs ect. on the head in the "Animal petting zoo" part of the show.

My "About Count".

Up to date I have about 46 dolls. My friend made a song up for me about teddy bears. It was a very nice song. She said that I should collect teddy bears as well so that the song makes sense to me.

Earlier in the year...

Earlier in the year I went to a doll shaw. I was amazed at all of the dolls. There were monkeys who had mo hair and babys that looked so real I just wanted to pick them up and comfort them. There was also a really cute newborn baby doll who looked like she was still in hospital because she had a naming bracelette and hospital tubes. I loved the "reborn" dolls they gorgouse. Sadly I forgot to take my camera so I couldn't take any pictures. Oh Well.

Hi guys,
when I have time I will put up a picture of Lucy (my 98 year old doll). She has human hair and hand knitted cloaths. I have other old dolls. have one of my great grandmothers dolls which kinda scare me because there limbs aren't conected to their bodies (but their heads are). We don't know how, why or who took her limbs off but I might get her restored.

We are tossing up wheather or not to get Lucy restored as she is in very good condition and dolls sometimes are worth less if they are restored (but some times they are worth more).

Meet Ella

This is Ella. She is incharge of the dolls when I'm at school, dancing or any other time I'm not at home.  I bought her a couple of years ago, second hand at a car rally. The car rally had lots of stalls with second hand bits and pieces.

Homemade!

Meet Maggie. Mum made her for me in about 2009. She has no arms as the parrern didn't include any. My brother and I made one each as well but I don't know what he did with his and mine went missing while moving house and she was never finnished.
Mum bought the pattern from "Store & Co.".
Meet Olivia. I made her my self using a pattern from a book called "Made By Me". It is a really good craft book and has some very good ideas.

She did have hair but I decided not to do it the way the book said and it all fell out...oops!

Frances' Story

This is Frances. She has a broken leg arfter a she got thrown off the mini kids couch.  When you turn her on she sings a song in a foregn language and swings her head, legs and arms.

I don't turn her on any more because once arfter she had broken her leg I turned her on  and she went BBBBBBZZZZZZZ and even though she always did that before she broke her leg it freaked me out.

Ali's Story!

This is Alison. She used to be my Auntie's doll. She has a really cool mechanism where if you press her little toe on her right foot her right arm waves. It did work.... until she had an accident!

Ali was with me while I was staying at my grandparent's house.I don't know how it happened but somehow her right arm fell, (well actually broke) off (oops).

Once we got home we glued it back on and the arm still waved until I was playing with her in bed one night and she (literally) fell out of bed.

Left : Annie
Right : Ali
(wearing their nighties)

That was about two years ago now. I still haven't glued her arm back on because I don't want her to break it any more than she has.

The only down side is that it means she doesn't fit clothes very well.
